Traditional Chinese Medicine

A symptom is a manifestation of what is happening in the body.

The aim is to look beyond the symptom, understand what lies behind it and address the underlying imbalance.

The approach

No two people are alike, and care should not be either.

In Traditional Chinese Medicine, I look beyond the symptom and consider the different dimensions that can influence your wellbeing, from sleep, stress and lifestyle to emotions, the menstrual cycle and your stage of life, among others.

From this global view, each consultation is individually designed, choosing the techniques that best suit each person's needs.

Attentive, complementary care, shaped around each person.

Frequently asked questions

What happens in the first consultation?

The first consultation begins with a conversation about the reason for your visit, your current state and how your body functions, followed by an assessment to define the most appropriate approach.

Do the needles hurt?

Acupuncture needles are very fine and, in most cases, insertion is virtually painless. You may feel only a light touch or a momentary sensation.

How long does a consultation last?

Each consultation, first or follow-up, lasts 60 minutes.

Where do consultations take place?

Consultations take place in Vila Nova de Milfontes at SW Clinic, in Cercal do Alentejo at Clínica Sorriso Bonito, and in Barrancos from October 2026.

What is the price of a consultation?

Please enquire.

Does Traditional Chinese Medicine replace my doctor?

No. Traditional Chinese Medicine is a complementary approach and does not replace medical care. Whenever warning signs are present or specialist assessment is needed, you will be advised to seek appropriate healthcare.

Do I need to know which technique I will receive?

No. The approach is defined after the assessment, according to your needs. A consultation may include different Traditional Chinese Medicine techniques.

How many consultations will I need?

There is no fixed number of consultations. The frequency and duration of care depend on each person, their needs and how things evolve over time.
